Chase Knudsen

Pastor/Elder

Bio: I was born in New Haven, Connecticut then moved to Syosset, NY. My family then moved to West Wareham, MA. I graduated from Rochester Regional High School then went to the University of MA, Amherst, where I received my Associates Degree of Science in Landscape Construction. I worked for a landscape design/build firm for 4 years.

I met my wife Alisha after high school graduation (2001) while she worked as a live-in nanny for the summer and attended the church where my father is pastor. During the school year, she lived in Redding, CA. We married July 1, 2005 at Mountain Meadows Camp in Shingletown, CA. We moved to Tehama County (Cottonwood) in March 2006. We have three energetic and fun kids Parker, Weston and Violet.

I led a Bible study during my high school years and was involved with youth group at my church. During college, I was active in Campus Crusade for Christ where I led worship music, attended leadership training, did mentoring and campus evangelism. For two years prior to coming to FCC, I was a youth pastor intern in Redding, CA where I worked with kids through youth group, events and mentoring relationships.

The Lord called my family and me to FCC in February 2009. I have had the privilege to lead worship and work with the youth in Red Bluff for 10 years. We have such a supportive church body for our children and youth programs! In June 2019 the Lord called me, through our congregational vote, to be the lead Pastor at FCC. I continue to be blessed being a part of God’s work here at FCC and the Red Bluff community!

Hobbies: Hanging out with my family, anything outdoors, playing and watching sports (Red Sox and Patriots), movies, music, technology, and writing/playing music.

My Heroes (after Jesus): My dad. He has always taught me to be persistent in life and answered my countless questions on faith and Christianity. He attended almost every event I was involved in growing up. He is a true man of God that I aspire to be like!

Life Verses: 1 Corinthians 10:31 and Philippians 3:7-11.
